The Championship Game participants have been decided and it will be the #1 seeded Ghostbusters against the #2 seeded MKBA. This will be the first time the top 2 teams will meet in the championship game since 2019, while the Ghostbusters look to become the first #1 Seed to win the championship since… The Ghostbuster did it back in the inaugural season in 2009!

This will be the third time the #1 and #2 Seeds meet in the finals with the #2 seed winning the previous 2 times. MKBA will be looking to win their 3rd KAOS Cup while the Ghostbusters are looking to add their 5th. So with that being said, how did each team get there?

#1 Ghostbusters v. #4 Flanders

Man, this one was closer than the 368-337 final score indicates. After the completion of the first week’s games on Sunday Night, Flanders held an 91-point advantage over the Ghostbusters (174 – 83), thanks to Puka Nacua’s 41-point outburst. But Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase were ready to go on Monday Night. The two of them combined for 77 points and the Ghostbusters were able to close the gap to 14 points heading into Week 2.

Flanders Week 2 got off to a stumbling start on Thursday, when QB Brock Purdy managed only 4 points and WR Nacua chipped in a pedestrian 17. But they started to heat up once the late games started on Sunday.  AJ Brown (25) and Terry McLaurin (26) looked like they would be able to will this team to victory with Glenn taking a brief lead between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM on Sunday, but the Ghostbusters were just getting started. Amon-Ra St Brown (39), Sam LaPorta (18) Jerry Jeudy (21) and Josh Jacobs (21) were able to lead a balanced attack that led to a 206-point week, giving the Ghostbusters the victory.

#2 Mel Kiper’s BA v. #3 Dark Helmet

This game did not pack nearly as much drama as the first game, with MKBA winning easily against an overmatched opponent. Dark Helmet had a significant advantage vs. MKBA as Pete had to go into the game with both of his star QB’s on a Week 14 bye, AND THEY STILL MANAGED TO SCORE 146 POINTS! Zach Charbonnet (41), Ceedee Lamb (21) and Jahmyr Gibbs (19.3) led an otherwise toothless attack during the first week of the matchup, but Helmet was unable to capitalize as they managed a mere 126 points. Jordan Addison (41) and Tua Tagovailoa  (27) were the only players to score over 16 points while the D/ST and K combined for Zero points.

It didn’t get any better in Week 2 as MKBA rolled with 214 points, led by Lamar Jackson (46), Jayden Daniels (27) and Jaymyr Gibbs (28). Once again, Helmet struggled to score points as James Cook (29) and Bo Nix (19) were the only players to score more than 17 points. MKBA wins this one in a romp, 360-259.

Other games of note:

Consolation Game

Peeping Tomlins whooped up on Stick Rock 331-294. The Tomlins were led by Jared Goff (80), Justin Jefferson (54) and Kyren Williams (38) against cousin Rocky, who’s season now comes to a merciful end. Stick Rock’s scoring leaders were Aaron Rodgers (56), Malik Nabers (39) and Garret Wilson (33). We can all pretty much guess what wrong here when the three leading scorers played for the Jets and Giants.

Peeping Tomlin wins $50 for his effort.

Draft Lottery Tournament

’69 Olds cruises to an easy victory over Wrath of Kahn. Ray-Ray was led by Jalen Hurts (60), Jason Smith Njigba (37) and Patrick Mahomes (35) as they advance to the next round to see who gets the #1 overall pick after the Keeper Rounds next year. Kahn’s low-scoring unit was led(?) by Chase Brown (50), Tyreke Hill (33) and Drake London (26).

And in our final game, look who finally woke-up! It took 14 Weeks, but Milford Football Team fulfilled all that preseason hype with a 364-point outburst! Josh Allen had a staggering 104 points! That’s more points than CJ scored in three games this year. Davante Adams continues his lat season hot streak adding 70 points of his own while James Conner chipped in 54. And all of this at the expense of dear ol’ dad. Skoal Bandits were on the other side of this point tsunami from CJ. Baker Mayfield (62) Sam Darnold (58) and Mike Evans (49) played well in defeat. MFT will now go on to face ’69 Olds in the Lottery Playoff Finals.
