New Rules for 2021
The following is a summary of rule changes that take effect with the 2021 KAOS Season

Changes coming in 2021
Line-up changes
A new spot has been created so that each team will be required to start two quarterbacks in 2021.
The flex slot previously used for QB/RB/WR/TE has been changed and you will only be allowed to start a RB/WR/TE in that position.
The number of bench spots will remain at 11, for a total roster size of 20 (9 starters + 11-man bench).
There will be no Injured Reserve spots. You have more than enough roster flexibility with an 11-man bench.
The QB Roster limit has been raised from 2 to 3, so you have the ability to stash an extra QB to cover yourself for bye weeks. CAUTION: Make sure you do not pick QBs that have the same Bye Week! Otherwise you will have to choose between dropping a QB or leaving that spot empty for a game.
Scoring:
Scoring for the most part will remain unchanged, but there are a few tweaks for the coming season:
Instead of getting 1 point for every 10 yards receiving/rushing, in 2021 a player will receive 0.1 point for EVERY yard rushing/receiving.
Quarterbacks will receive .04 points for every yard passing (compared to 1 point for every 25 yards last season).
Format
We will go back to the two division format with 5 teams in each division. Each team will play teams within their division twice (for a total of 8 games) and teams in the other division once (for a total of 5 games). Since ESPN will not have the same playoff seedings as we have, I will track the playoff races each week on the official KAOS website.
The two division winners will earn a playoff spot and the next two teams with the highest point totals (regardless of division) will earn the final two spots.

If their is a tie for the division lead at the end of the season, the following tie-breaking steps will be followed:

-
H2H records between the two teams are compared. (Best record wins)
-
If the records are the same, we compare their Points For.
-
If tied in Points For, we compare their IntraDivisional Record.
-
If the IntraDivisional Record is tied, we compare Points Against. (Most points wins).
-
If for some reason the teams remain tied, the commissioner will flip a coin via zoom with involved teams to determine the winner.

If their is a tie in points scored for the Wild Card spots, the following tie-breaking steps will be followed:

-
The team with most wins will get the playoff spot.
-
If the win totals are the same, H2H records between the two teams are compared. (Best record wins)
-
If the H2Hl Record is tied, we compare Points Against. (Most points wins)
-
If for some reason the teams remain tied, the commissioner will flip a coin via zoom with involved teams to determine the winner.

The playoffs will start during Week 14. Each playoff matchup will last 2 weeks, so the semi-final will take place during Weeks 14-15 and the finals will be weeks 16-17.

We will also implement a draft lottery tournament for teams that finish in 7th - 10th place. The 7th place team will play the 8th place team and 9th place will play 10th place in a semi-final matchup that will last 2 weeks during weeks 14-15 with the two winners facing off in Weeks 16-17 to determine who will get the first pick in the 2022 draft. This tournament will only determine who gets the first overall draft position, with the remaining draft order being determined by the regular season standings. Therefore, the team with the worst regular season record can do no worse than the 2nd spot in the draft.

And just so the 5th and 6th place teams do not feel left out, they will go head-to-head in a 2-week playoff in the Mediocrity Bowl. The winner will receive a 50% refund of their entry fee ($50). This game will be played over Weeks 14-15.
Payout
The money will be distributed as follows:

$150 for each division winner.
$150 for the team with the most points scored during the regular season. (A team can double-dip here. If you win your Division and have the highest overall point total, you will receive $300).
$50 for the Mediocrity Bowl winner. (5th place v. 6th Place).
$150 for each of the 1st Round Playoff winners.
An additional $200 for the League Champion.
