WEEK 7 RANKINGS

Another week in the books as Week 6 started to get back to the type of football we are accustomed to seeing. There were no 40 point scorers, no Team scored 200 for the first time since week 2 and the Ghostbusters won (barely). But the one thing that didn't change? The injuries. The toll this week was brutal as Justin Fields (dislocated thumb), David Montgomery (ribs... MMMMM. Ribs!), Trevor Lawrence (Knee), Deebo Samuel (Shoulder), CMC (oblique) and Kyren Williams (ankle) all had their days end early. Oh, and Colts announced that Anthony Richardson is 'probably' done for the year. Thats a long list with a lot of good players on it.

Keep combing the waiver wire and looking for trades to upgrade your rosters as we enter the middle of our regular season. Don't let one (or in some cases, 3) injury squelch your chance of winning a championship. Also, a PSA from the Peeping Tomlin's. He wants everyone to know that he is willing to trade Richardson or Nick Chubb for some players that can help him this year. So if someone is looking to add a couple of keeper caliber players and stash them for next season, give Jared a shout.

#1(Tie) - Big Rock 2X

The point total was not as gaudy, but Rocky will take the 151 points and the victory to move to 6-0. Raheem Mostert (35) and Amon Ra St Brown (30) led an otherwise lackluster week for the rest of the team. It might be time to put Keenan Allen (21) in the starting lineup!

# 1 (Tie) - Wrath of Khan

Jimmy jumps two spots into a tie for #1 this week, led by Tyreek Hill (30), Justin Herbert (21) and Travis Kelce (21). Even the trash Jim picks up on the waiver wire turns to gold as Desmond Ridder put up his 2nd consecutive strong start. It's an embarrassment of riches for the Kahn-Men.

#3 - Springfield Flanders

Flanders continues to roll as they easily beat the banged-up Tomlins 159-115. The fantasy sites like what they see as Glenn jumps 3 spots in this week's poll. Jared Goff (26) continues to impress while Travis Ettienne (23) and AJ Brown keep up their consistent scoring.

#4 Black Ghostbusters

The score-less wonders were at it again this week as they get 1 combined rushing/receiving TD from their offense. Honestly, this is just ridiculous. Oh, and the 4 guys on my team that I didn't start (Stevenson, Adam Thielen, Jameson Williams and Kyle Pitts) each scored one apiece.  Let's just move on to the next team...

#5 Mel Kipers Best Available

Pete gets a win this week with a balanced attack up and down the lineup. Shockingly, the team was led by Sam Howell (24) . It's the third strong week in a row from Howell who looks to be a reliable QB2. Lamar Jackson (19) and Derrick Henry (19) were the other high scorers on a team that didn't see any player not name Sam Howell crack 20 points.

#6 (Tie) -
Milford Football Team

MFT lost again this week and all of a sudden, they're having trouble scoring points. The usually reliable Josh Allen only managed to put up 17 points, and he was their high scorer!  The injuries to CMC and David Montgomery didn't help. There is some help on the bench, and he is still in an okay-ish position for the playoffs, currently sitting in 4th with 897 points. But it looks like some moves might need to be made for a second half run with Pete (856) and Jared (801) breathing down his neck

Ray Logo_edited.jpg

#6 (Tie) - '69 Olds

DJ Moore (10) couldn't save the day for Ray-Ray this week. Jalen Hurts (21) was the only player to go over 20 points. It looked promising after Thursday Night's game when the KC Trio of Patrick Mahomes (19), Isaiah Pacheco (15) and Harrison Butker (18) helped Ray get off to a fast start. But the rest of the lineup failed to get going on Sunday leading to the 149-125 defeat.

#8 Peeping Tomlins

Man, the hits just keep coming for Jared. A team that I liked coming out of the draft has had brutal injury luck this season. Kyren Williams (22) and CJ Stroud (18) have been bright spots, but the loss of Anthony Richardson is a killer. KWIII (18) also had a good game in a losing cause.

#9  - Dark Helmet

We continue the "Whatever Happened to Dan Hart" series this week with a tale from the Golden Star Cafe, the local watering hole we would go to every night when we first got out of college. One night, "The Great One" walked into the bar, none other than Wayne Gretzky himself. Dan was so ecstatic about meeting his hockey idol, he leapt up immediately and offered to buy him drinks for the rest of the night. Gretzky was more than happy to oblige and also posed for a picture in front of the building for Dan and signed his coaster for him. Dan still has that picture he took of Wayne Gretzky that night hanging in his man cave. You know, looking back that might not have been Wayne Gretzky.

#10 Skoal Bandits

I'm running out of ways to describe what is going on here. #1 Overall pick Bijan Robinson has just been okay. #2 pick Jahmyr Gibbs can't stay healthy and when he is, David Montgomery gets all the touches. #3 QB Pick Daniel Jones has been abysmal and his backup just outplayed him on Monday Night. #4 Pick Chris Olave has not lived up to preseason expectations and #5 Tee Higgins has been a bust. Picks 6, 7, and 8 haven't been any help either as Lockett, Pickett, and Cook can't get anything going. They've even managed to miss out on the big names coming off the waiver wire as things didn't start to go bad until after Week 3. Other than that, things seem to be going well.
