2023 WEEK 11 RANKINGS

We are coming into the home stretch, with only three games left in the regular season. It looks like a 6-team race, divided by three power houses (Springfield Flanders, Stick Rock and Wrath of Kahn) versus three flawed but spunky teams (Mel Kiper, MFT and Peeping Tomlins). Let's take a look at each contender:

Stick Rock (#1 Seed)- At the top for the entire season, but definitely showing some cracks. As the teams around them have added to their rosters, Rocky is content with letting this play out.

Strengths: QB1, RB1 and the WRs.

Weaknesses: QB2, TE and bench.

This team definitely needs a QB upgrade (wouldn't Dak Prescott look good in this lineup?) and some RB and WR Depth. Swift and Jefferson have been banged up and Mostert goes back to  secondary role in Miami. This team will cruise to the #1 seed, but might have trouble against deeper rosters in the playoffs.

Wrath of Kahn (#2 Seed)- Jimmy hit a bit of a rough patch that saw hm momentarily lose their spot at the top of the Patrick Division, but he fixed those problems by trading himself to victory. Dak Prescott has a soft schedule through the playoffs that should see top 5 QB finishes. Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill lead their positions on a PPG basis while Rachard White is a Top 10 RB.

Strengths: QB, RB1, WR1, TE.

Weaknesses: WR2 and Bench depth.

Jim needs two more reliable pass catching threats to hang with Glenn and Rocky. You can't be using a RB in the Flex spot if you want to score big. If Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce were to miss any time, they would be an easy playoff out.

Springfield Flanders (#3 Seed) - The bone-headed non-action on his Week 9 QB bye week situation is going to haunt them for the rest of the season. Instead of playing for the #1 Seed, Glenn will most likely have a tough 1st round match-up against Wrath of Kahn. Still, those big 3 WRs should be keeping Jim and Rocky up at night knowing those 3 alone can outscore entire teams on any given week. With Travis Etienne and Alvin Kamara at RB, Flanders is capable of putting up a 400 point 2-week playoff total against an unlucky opponent.

Strengths: RB1, WRs.

Weaknesses: QB2, TE.

I'm not sold on Purdy at QB2. I know he puts up big numbers, but watching him play does not inspire a ton of confidence. The one move here might be to try an upgrade the QB spot.

Mel Kipers BA (#4 Seed) - We're now entering the 2nd tier of contenders. Pete has some nice pieces here. Lamarr Jackson is back to playing at an MVP level, CeeDee Lamb has caught fire over the last month, and TJ Hockenson is loving life with new QB Dobbs. If Achane can come back and play at his pre-injury level, they could be an uncomfortable matchup for Rocky when he selects them as his Round 1opponent.

Strengths: QB1, RB, TE and WR1.

Weaknesses: WR2/Flex

Pete needs a couple of more players at WR and Flex. Trade one of your TE's for a guy that you can actually put in your starting lineup. A Keenan Allen for Sam Laporta trade makes too much sense for both teams. But it won't happen because Rocky would want Pete to throw in LaMar Jackson and Pete would ignore the trade request.

Milford Football Team  (#5 Seed) - CJ has been hanging around the 4-6 spots for most of the season. Not good enough to be considered a contender, but not bad enough to ignore. His season hinges on the QB play. Josh Allen needs to play better than he has recently, and hopefully Geno Smith can build on his Week 10 success. Otherwise, they will be the best team in the consolation game come week 14.

Strengths: QB1, RBs, TE

Weaknesses: WRs

Another team in dire need of pass catchers. Evans and Collins are inconsistent, Garrett Wilson has Zack Wilson throwing to him and Calvin Ridley has been a bust. WR help is easy to find.

Peeping Tomlins (#6 Seed) - Just like last year, this team is lurking and is hoping for a strong finish over the last 3 games to get himself to the playoffs. There is a lot to like here. Russell Wilson is playing like he did all those years in Seattle and CJ Stroud has been a top 5 QB. The rest of the roster is filled with solid contributors, but this team is lacking the game-breaking fantasy performers that all of the teams above them have. KWIII has followed up his strong rookie year with a top 10 Season in 2023.

Strengths: QBs, TE

Weaknesses: RB2, WRs

There probably is not a lot Jared can do to improve the roster at this point of the season. Just keep rolling this lineup out and hope the teams in front of you slip a little.

#1 Big Rock 2X

They had to sweat out the win this week against the #7 ranked team, but a win is a win. Keenan Allen (40) Amon St Brown (30) and Joe Burrow (24) led the way in this one.

#2 - Springfield Flanders

A sputtering week for this juggernaut came at a good time as the trio Brock Purdy (30), Jamar Chase (25) and Jared Goff (25) was enough to beat '69 Olds output of 66/7 points this week.

Khan Logo_edited.jpg

# 3 - Wrath of Khan

Newcomer Dak Prescott (45) provided the margin of victory Jim needed this week to roll to an easy victory. Justin Herbert (36) and Brian Robinson (29) contributed in the 188-157 win over MFT.

#4 Mel Kipers Best Available

MKBA's reign at the top of the division was short lived as they only managed 133 points in their Week 11 matchup. CeeDee Lamb (39) Sam Howell (31) and Conrad Sutton (17) played well in the loss.

#5 Peeping Tomlins

An impressive win this week over a quality opponent. Russell Wilson (22), George Kittle (22) and KWIII (21) led a balanced scoring attack in the win over Mel Kiper BA.

#6 Milford Football Team

CJ ran into a buzzsaw this week as his bid to get back to .500 came up short. Geno Smith (29), Mike Evans (26) and David Montgomery (20) played well in the loss.

#7 Black Ghostbusters

The "FOR SALE" sign is still in front of the Ghostbuster's offices this week. Everything must go! Wouldn't a package of Trevor Lawrence, Dalton Kincaid and Puka Nakua look good underneath your tree this Christmas? Even Jonathan Taylor, Cooper Kupp and Davante Adams could be had in the right trade offer.

Bandits Logo_edited_edited.jpg

#8 Skoal Bandits

The Bandits got their 2nd win in a row this week! Granted, it came against Dark Helmet, but the 143 points scored was impressive. Especially considering that the 2 QBs combined for 11 points! Jahmyr Gibbs (26) Tyelr Lockett (23) and Chris Olave (22) were the high scorers.

Helmet Logo.jpeg

#9  - Dark Helmet

Baker Mayfield (22) was the only player to score over 15 points and for the 4th time this season, Dark Helmet failed to go over 101 points.

#10  '69 Olds

66 points this week. Total. Yeah, I know one QB spot was left empty, but that is ridiculous.
