WEEK 11 RANKINGS

Designer (10).jpeg

The season is flying by as we head into Week 11 of the 2024 NFL Season. The Top 2 seeds (MKBA and Ghostbusters) continue their strangle-hold on their respective divisions, while the race for the 2 Wild Card spots has tightened up significantly. Less than 50 points separate the 4-7 seeds. Even Stick Rock is starting to drift back to the pack as Wrath of Kahn, Springfield Flanders and Peeping Tomlins have closed the gap considerably. Here is a snapshot of the current Playoff Odds:

THE LOCKS

Mel Kipers Best Available - The hottest team in the league cooled off a little in Week 10, but they still got the win and have wrapped up the Division. Playoff Odds: 100%

Black Ghostbusters - One of the more consistent teams in the league. They are 80% of the way through the tough part of their schedule and came through it 4-0 with wins over the other playoff contenders (Dark Helmet, Peeping Tomlins, Springfield Flanders and Stick Rock). A big Week 11 showdown against MKBA will probably decide the #1 Seed. Playoff Odds: 100%

THE SCRUM

Stick Rock - Through Weeks 1-7, it was comical when they would lose every week despite being the #2 scoring team in the league. In Weeks 8-10 they're still losing, but not scoring as much and that's just sad. Fortunately for him, none of the teams below him have seized the opportunity. The RB and WR strength is there, but the QB's have woefully under-performed. I am sure a package of Chub Hubbard and Jayden Reed could get you a decent QB. (And don't bother CJ with an offer for Josh Allen. You don't have the assets to get him.) Playoff Odds: 55%.

Dark Helmet - Dan gets the slight edge over Wrath and Flanders due to their current lead in the standings. But in reality their odds are all about the same. The QB situation has worked itself out nicely with the return of Tua and the progress from Bo Nix. They could use some WR help. Maybe trade from some of that RB depth to get a reliable pass catcher. Playoff Odds: 38%

Springfield Flanders -  Flanders had a nice bounce-back week after the Week 9 debacle. The QBs have been solid and the RB and WR depth consistent. If Njoku can just be an average TE for the rest of the season, there could be enough here for a deep playoff run. Playoff Odds: 35%

Wrath of Kahn - Jim's team is rolling at the right time as they put up back-to-back impressive point totals in Weeks 9 and 10. The QB situation is a concern, but the rest of the roster is solid. Playoff Odds: 35%

Peeping Tomlins - Jared's squad has put together 2 consecutive duds so far in November and the QB position could be described as shaky at best. Nico Collins needs to comeback strong from injury if Jared hopes to crash the post-season party. Playoff Odds: 30%

SO YOU ARE SAYING THERE IS A CHANCE

Skoal Bandits - The Bandits have been hanging around the outskirts of contention for the last month or so, but this week's 114 point effort has pushed them 74 points back of the last playoff spot. Time is running out. Playoff Odds: 5%

THE EARLY 2025 DRAFT PREPARERS

'69 Olds Terrible, Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. Ray has had trouble since Day 1 due to poor production from his Keepers. Only Jalen Hurts has delivered on his preseason promise. Injuries (Isaiah Pacheco) and mediocre play (Mahomes/DJ Moore) have had them playing catch-up the entire season. Playoff Odds: 1%

Milford Football Team - No matter what happens this year, Milford Football Team will forever be etched on the KAOS Cup. The Week 1 injury to CMC set the tone right out of the gate. But there is still a lot of talent on this roster and there is a solid base of Keepers ready to start over in 2025. Playoff Odds: 1%

1 . Mel Kipers Best Available (Last Week #1)

MKBA stole a page out of the Ghostbusters playbook by winning this week's matchup despite having the 2nd lowest score of the week. Lamar Jackson (41) was the high scorer, but no other starter had more than 13 points. With no Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb's (8 points) days as a WR1 could be over. â€‹â€‹â€‹

2. Ghostbusters (Last Week #2)

Since MKBA played the part of Ghostbusters this week, it was only fair that Ghostbusters did the same by scoring a Mel Kiper-like 200 points. One of the rare games when this one was over on Thursday Night. JaMarr Chase (60) and Joe Burrow (43) gave them an early lead as the Ghostbusters coast to their 9th win of the season. Kyler Murray added 30 points to lead the Ghostbusters to their 7th consecutive victory.

3. Stick Rock (Last Week #3)

They had no chance for a win this week, but the 131-point total is concerning. The Eagles D/ST put up 23 points against a putrid Cowboys offense, but no other player had more than 16 points.

4. Dark Helmet (Last Week # 4)

Helmet did just enough this week to win a ballgame and maintain their lead in the points standings. Bo Nix (20), Conrad Sutton (19) and James Cook (15) led the way in this one.

5. Springfield Flanders (Last Week #6)

Flanders had a strong showing in Week 10 that moves them to within 30 points of the final Playoff Spot. Brock Purdy (27), Justin Herbert (21) and Puka Nacua (18) played well in the easy victory.

6. Wrath of Khan (Last Week #7)

A big week for Kahn as they creep closer to the #4 seed. Russell Wilson (24), Chase Brown (22) and George Pickens (20) were the high scorers.

7. Peeping Tomlin's (Last Week #5)

It is starting ot get late early for the Tomlins. They followed up  last week's 110-point outing with a 102 point dud this week. Rookie Tyrone Tracy (16) continues to impress, but no other player scored more than 16 points this week. They now find themselves in 7th place and 47 points out of a playoff spot.

8. Skoal Bandits (Last Week # 8)

The Bandits scoring woes continue as they managed only 114 points in Week 11. The good news is BiJan Robinson (30) is turning into a consistent scoring threat. The bad news is the clock might have struck midnight on QBs Mayfield (10) and Darnold (6).

9. '69 Olds (Last Week #9)

Jalen Hurts (33) had a big game against the Cowboys and TE Mark Andrews (18) continues to shine, but the rest of the lineup COMBINED for 57 points!
