2023 WEEK 13 RANKINGS
Only one week left in the 2023 regular season and the playoff picture is pretty much set. Stick Rock has the #1 seed locked up as he is one game ahead of Wrath of Kahn and owns the head-to-head tiebreaker. Jim's consolation prize is the #2 seed and a probable first round matchup against #3 seed Springfield Flanders. But the big story this week was the Milford Football Team. This squad started out hot but then languished for much of the season. Coming into Week 12 they found themselves only 3.44 points ahead of Mel Kipers BA. But a 211-point outburst this week has seen them build a comfortable 67 point cushion.

As for the rest of the playoff hopefuls, they now have a steep hill to climb to grab the 4th and final playoff spot:

Mel Kiper's BA - They'll need to score 68 more points than MFT this week. They will also need to keep an eye on Peeping Tomlin's, who they currently lead by 62.22 points.

Peeping Tomlin's - Jared is barely hanging on as he will need a monster week to catch the two teams ahead of him. They currently trail MFT by 129.34 points and MKBA by 62.22.

Finally, this is last call for any trades to upgrade your teams for the playoffs. Our trade deadline is tomorrow at noon. All trades must be offered, approved by both teams and approved by the LM by 12:00PM. Does Jimmy need to make another trade to keep up with Glenn and Rocky's deadline deals? That WR2 spot is looking kind of shaky and do you really want to play an RB in the flex? How about a swap between playoff teams. Tyreke Hill to Springfield for Puka and Diggs. Yeah, that doesn't work. I guess the playoff rosters are set!

Also, I bitch a lot about the lack of trades in our league, so I want to congratulate everyone who has shown a set of balls here at the deadline. This is exactly how it should work, playoff teams improved in the short term and the bottom of the league improved their prospects for future seasons.

Here is a look at what each team did leading up to the trade deadline:

Rocky had two huge holes to fill after both his QBs went down with season ending injuries. Stroud/Wilson is probably not going to put up the numbers that Burrow/Cousins did, but it was better than anything on the waiver wire. The price was steep (Justin Jefferson) but when you have a chance to win the championship you go all-in.

Jim made his big trade a few weeks ago getting Dak Prescott and Tony Pollard in return for Breece Hall. That trade has paid off big, but we will see if the Cowboys offense can continue to produce as their season gets past the Washington/NY Giants portion of the schedule.

Glenn filled multiple positions on his roster by trading away Ja'marr Chase. He figured (rightfully) that the Joe Burrow injury would impact his production for the rest of the season so he swapped CHase for Puka Nakua, Trey McBride and Trevor Lawrence, giving him the deepest team in the postseason tournament.
CJ stood pat and it paid off in Week 12. We'll see how that works as the postseason progresses.
Pete pretty much has the team he drafted and now finds himself in no-mans-land. Not good enough for the playoffs, not bad enough for the draft lottery tournament.

Jared made a couple of moves this season by first trading injured QB Anthony Richardson and Nick Chubb for Zack Moss and Joshua Dobbs then taking the opposite approach by trading CJ Stroud, Russell Wilson and George Kittle (one borderline keeper and 2 average players) for a guy drafted #1 overall (Justin Jefferson) in most leagues.

Ghostbusters made a bunch of trades just to upgrade their 4 Keepers going into 2024. A starting four among Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall, Ja'Marr Chase, Davante Adams and Cooper Kupp could find all new ways to disappoint next year.

Ray made his big move to try to stay relevant earlier in the season by trading Cooper Kupp for DJ Moore (top 5 WR) and Isaiah Pacheco (top 10 RB). It didn't workout as planned, but he has 2 potential keepers for next year.

Craig also struck early sending a QB and RB he grabbed off the waiver wire for injured Nick Chubb and Anthony Richardson. He has a potential keeper quartet of Bijan Robinson/Jahmyr Gibbs/Nick Chubb/Anthony Richardson.

Dan drank a lot of beer and came in last.

#1 Big Rock 2X
They lost, so they made a trade to upgrade the QB room. Matthew Stafford (31), Keenan Allen (22) and Raheem Mostert (21) led the way in this one.

# 2 - Wrath of Khan
Another big point total for Kahn this week as they put up 175 points in a blowout win against potential 1st round opponent Springfield Flanders. Dak Prescott (40), Tyreke Hill (25) and Tony Pollard (22) led the way in this one. The moral of this story? You can never have too many Ghostbusters in your starting lineup.

#3 - Springfield Flanders
Is this a blip on the radar or the beginning of a trend. After leading the league most of the year in scoring, Flanders has scored 136-101-124 in his last 3 outings. Those are Skoal Bandit type totals! Jared Goff (22), Stephon Diggs (19) and Alvin Kamara (15) were the high scorers this week.

#4 Milford Football Team
A 211 point explosion has given them a stranglehold on the 4th and final playoff spot. They were led this week by Josh Allen (43), CMC (31) and Mike Evans (25). While we are here, can we talk about Mike Evans for a second? This is a guy that routinely gets drafted in rounds 6-10 (round 9 this year), plays in a terrible offense (TB) yet always finishes in the top 15 (currently #9). Could he be the most under appreciated fantasy player?

#5 Mel Kipers Best Available
MKBA had a decent week, but time is running out for them to catch up to MFT. Derrick Henry (20) Jaylen Waddle (19) and Sam Howell (17) led a balanced scoring attack in week 12.

#6 Peeping Tomlins
Another solid outing this week, but as we mentioned last week, Jared just ran out of time. Kyren Williams (39) CJ Stroud (34) and Devonta Smith (23) played well in the win, but Jared needs a miracle in week 13 to advance.

#7 Black Ghostbusters
Only two TDs from non-QBs this week. What else is new.

#8 '69 Olds
After going winless for nearly 2 months, Ray-Ray got his 2nd win in a row this week! Jalen Hurts (40), Isaiah Pacheco (25) and Pat Mahomes (24) made Ray reminiscent of the 2022 division winning squad.

#9 Skoal Bandits
That 2 game winning streak to start the month is now a distant memory as the Bandits have now dropped their last 2. Bijan Robinson (27), Michael Pittman Jr (20) and Chris Olave (18) kept this game close.

#10 - Dark Helmet
Josh Jacobs (25), Deebo Samuel (22) and Baker Mayfield (17) scored a lot of points. Nobody else did and they lost again.
