TRADE DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING

It's almost Black Friday which means people are shopping for deals! Our trade deadline is less than a week away (11/27/2024 at Noon EST) so I thought it would be a good time for a “trade suggestions” post. I haven’t done many of them this year as nobody seems to bother responding to the trade offers they get. But with just two weeks left in the season, contenders may want to shore up their lineups for a potential deep postseason run while the eliminated teams could position themselves better for next season.

To begin, lets separate the contenders from the pretenders.

I.             Already In:

Black Ghostbusters – They have already clinched and need one more win or one more MKBA loss to secure the #1 overall seed. Needs: RB

MKBA – They have also clinched their division and have an outside shot at the #1 Seed. Needs: WR

II.          Contenders:

Dark Helmet – Currently hold a 56.34 lead in the points standings. Needs: WR

Stick Rock – Currently holds a 52.18 lead in the points standings. Needs: QB

Springfield Flanders – 52.18 behind the 4th place team. Needs: RB/WR

Peeping Tomlins – 77.58 behind the 4th place team. Needs: QB/RB

 Any team in the remaining categories should be looking to trade useful pieces for a possible 2025 keeper. Be prepared to offer 3 good players for one superstar keeper. In year's past, this was successful with an injured star player. Nobody fits that criteria this year, but maybe a desperate contender will trade a keeper to fill multiple positions.

III.        Not Dead Yet… but the priest is standing by:

Skoal Bandits -106.06 Points out of 4th place.

RB-David Montgomery/JK Dobbins

WR-Mike Evans

TE-Tucker Kraft

Wrath of Khan – 108.44 points out of 4th place.

Players they have to trade:

QB-Cousins/Wilson

RB-Ray Davis

WR-George Pickens/Jameson Williams

IV.       Have we scheduled the 2025 Draft yet?

’69 Olds – 209.46 points out of the playoffs.

Players they have to trade:

QB-Patrick Mahomes

RB-Rhamondre Stevenson/Isaiah Pacheco

WR-DK Metcalf

Milford Football Team – 231 points out of the playoffs.

Players they have to trade:

QB-Drake Maye

RB-CMC/James Conner

WR-Jauan Jennings/Davante Adams

TE Kyle Pitts/Cade Otten

So if we agree on who the buyers and sellers are, here is a trade proposal for each contending team that can help this year as well as a trade each non-playoff team could make for a keeper:

Ghostbusters: Breece Hall to MFT for James Conner, Jauan Jennings and Cade Otten. Not a trade GB needs to make, but it will give them some depth for their bench as well as a nice Conner/Murray stack. CJ gets an RB Keeper for his troubles.

MKBA: Pete already addressed his RB need with an in-season trade with Wrath of Khan, but they could probably use a little more certainty at WR. Jayden Daniels, Dalton Kincaid and Tony Pollard to 69 Olds for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, DK Metcalf and Patrick Mahomes. Ray gets a better keeper option than Mahomes for 2025.

Dark Helmet: James Cook to Skoal Bandits for Ladd McConkey and Mike Evans. Dan gets his WR depth and Craig gets a potential RB keeper to pair with Bijan Robinson.

Stick Rock: Malik Nabers and Geno Smith to Wrath of Khan for Kirk Cousins/George Pickens/Jameson Williams. Rocky gets his old QB back for another playoff run and Jim gets a keeper that also happens to play for his favorite NFL Team.

Springfield Flanders: AJ Brown, Nick Chubb and Amari Cooper to Wrath of Khan for Chase Brown, George Pickens and Jameson Williams. Glenn gets deeper at WR and a solid RB2 behind Joe Mixon. Jim gets a top 5 WR for next year.

Peeping Tomlins: Nico Collins to ’69 Olds for Patrick Mahomes, Isaiah Pacheco and Jaxon Smith Njigba. Jared gets depth at all 3 skill positions and Ray gets a much needed stud WR for next season.

Skoal Bandits: See above trade offer from Dark Helmet.

Wrath of Khan: See above offer from Flanders and Stick Rock.

69 Olds: See above offers from MKBA and Tomlins.

Milford Football Team: See above offer from Ghostbusters.
